THE PEOPLE There were a lot of memorable moments at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. What stood out for me was the warmth and courtesy of the African people. In the heat of battle, the atmosphere in and around South Africa was still that of friendship. One can hardly imagine World Cup South Africa (the lowest scoring tournament ever) without the Vuvuzela. It was the hottest selling item, followed by South Africa Bafana and Spain’s replica jersey During the World Cup the sport bars and restaurants were always full, while the food was quite tasty it was also plentiful. A baggie for leftovers was certainly the way to go.
