Amie Lin thoughts “We joined GS United 8 years ago in 2011 and won the Ontario Women Soccer League (OWSL) Provincial Elite Division all 8 years (2010-2018). And we won Ontario Cup 6 years (2012- 2018). John Williams was our head coach along with Brent Martin for the first year (2010). Brent Martin left the second year but John Williams remained and continued to be our Head Coach for all 8 years.

SSR Q: What influenced you to get into Women’s soccer? A: For the past 5 years we have been consistently asked when we were going to get into the women’s game. This year the timing seemed to be right and the rest of history is currently being written during a successful inaugural season. The ladies are now part of the GS United collective and will bring positive change to the community and as role models future generations. One needs to just be part of the enthusiastic crowd that follows this team around to understand the love and respect they share for the game and each other.
